Description
The DSI GPS (Gently Pressed System) is a series of fully equalized idlers, spaced closely along the length and across the belt width, gently hugging the material along the straight incline of the DSI Sandwich belt high angle conveyor.
Deflection of a pressing spring provides the correct amount of hugging pressure without incurring load concentrations. The spring deflects and the pressure increases as material within the sandwich raises each pressing module. The amount of pressure is thus self-regulating. Because they are fully equalized and independent modules of eight, the pressing rolls conform completely to the cross sectional and longitudinal configurations of the conveyed material.
